Our photo team removes the background, balances lighting, sharpens facial detail, and prepares the image for engraving. What photo works best The rectangle is naturally a portrait shape — tall rather than wide — which makes it ideal for headshots, full-body single portraits, or close-framed couple shots where both subjects fit vertically. Photos with strong eye contact and clear facial detail engrave most powerfully. Avoid wide landscape compositions (they will lose impact when oriented vertically), heavily filtered photos, and dark/underexposed images. What's in the box Every keychain ships in our satin-lined gift presentation box with a polishing cloth and a Beyond Memories® certificate of authenticity. Keychain care The crystal pendant is durable but the engraving inside is what makes the keychain meaningful — treat it accordingly. The chrome bail and split-ring loop are built for daily-carry use. Clean the crystal pendant with a soft cloth and a small amount of glass cleaner. Wipe the chrome assembly with the same cloth. Avoid leaving the keychain in a hot car for extended periods, harsh chemicals, and submerging in water. With normal use, the keychain looks the same after years as on day one.
