The Cube™ is a three module desktop power rack designed to bring 500 series modular audio to everyone.Unlike other 500 series enclosures that are usually rack mounted, The Cube™ is designed to sit on the desktop or be carried around the studio using the convenient top-mounted handle. This enables the engineer to position instrument and microphone preamps as close to the source as possible for improved signal to noise. The Cube can also be recessed into the work surface using the optional mounting flanges. These allow either flush mounting or 30° angle mounting to optimize viewing position. Not straying from the success of the Radial Workhorse, the Cube is also 100% backwards-compatible with older API modules while being optimized for Radial's expanding range of preamps, processors, and routing devices. Its constructed with 14-gauge steel and features dual gold contact EDAC 15-pin connectors for a rugged chassis guaranteeing optimal signal transfer. The external power supply delivers 500 mA of current, so even your most voltage-hungry modules get what they need, and a separate 48V phantom tap delivers 10 mA to your microphone preamps. It boasts several options for rear connectivity including standard XLR I/O plus 1/4" TRS connectors for multing modules, cross patching, and parallel processing. Instead of the "hardware patch" system most of the competition employs, the Cube utilizes an innovative feed function, patching modules together without the need of cables; plus, stereo modules can simply be paired with a switch, so you can skip all the soldering of yesteryear. The Cube makes it extremely simple to assemble the perfect channel strip into a portable desktop unit to fit your audio needs.
