Tamron Usa, Inc. Light Tamron 12-20Mm F/2.8 A084 Ultra Wide Angle Zoom Lens (Sony E)
The Tamron 12-20mm F2.8 A084 expands what Sony E full-frame photographers can place inside a single composition. Its 12mm to 20mm focal range captures sweeping landscapes, expansive interiors, dramatic architecture, and broad night skies. A constant F2.8 maximum aperture remains available throughout the zoom range, supporting consistent exposure and greater creative control in low light.Detailed Rendering from Center to EdgeThe optical system combines 1 XGM element, 3 GM elements, and multiple special glass elements. This arrangement helps reduce peripheral blur and color fringing while correcting sagittal coma flare. Stars, structural lines, and fine landscape details remain clearly resolved toward the outer areas of the frame, making the lens especially useful for astrophotography and detailed interior work.Fast Focus and Close Perspective ControlA VXD linear motor focus mechanism provides fast, precise, and quiet autofocus for both still photography and video production. At the 12mm position, the lens focuses as close as 7.1 inches, allowing a nearby subject to appear prominent against an expansive background. Tamron Lens Utility compatibility provides additional support for customized still and video workflows.Professional Features in a Portable FormThe Sony E version measures 4.8 inches long and weighs 20.7 ounces. Its control switches and rings support direct operation in the field. A 12-blade circular diaphragm, integrated flower-shaped hood, integrated rear filter holder, locking front cap, moisture-resistant construction, and fluorine coating complete a versatile design for landscapes, interiors, nightscapes, and creative close views.
