Tama Natural Quilted Bubinga Lacquer Lgb146nqb
Exceptional Bubinga Shell CraftsmanshipThe Tama 14x6 S.L.P. G-Bubinga Snare Drum (LGB146NQB) showcases Tama’s mastery of Bubinga wood with a 10mm, 12-ply shell construction (11-ply interior Bubinga with 1-ply Quilted Bubinga exterior) and 45-degree bearing edges. This careful construction allows the shell to resonate freely, delivering a rich, punchy sound with deep low-end character. The drum’s Natural Quilted Bubinga Lacquer finish, paired with Black Nickel hardware and the Tama S.L.P. badge, gives it a striking, professional appearance.Precision Hardware for Maximum ControlEquipped with 20 Starclassic Lugs in a 10-lug configuration and 2.3mm triple-flanged Steel Mighty Hoops, this snare offers a perfect balance between durability and musicality. The low-mass lug design and flanged hoops allow the shell to breathe, producing a more natural tone compared to die-cast alternatives. Tama’s Evans-coated G1 batter head and Evans snare-side head complement the shell’s tonal characteristics for a sharp, defined attack.Advanced Linear-Drive StrainerThe Linear Drive Strainer and Butt Plate provide exceptional control over snare response. It's true linear motion minimizes the typical “slap” sound when engaging the snare wires, while the ratchet system ensures the wires remain perfectly tensioned. Ultra-fine adjustments are possible, with single-click vertical increments of just 0.083mm, allowing drummers to achieve precise snare sensitivity and responsiveness.Starclassic Snare Wire DesignFeaturing 20-strand Starclassic Carbon Steel snare wires, the G-Bubinga delivers crisp articulation and dynamic range. The innovative end-plate angle and thinner straps press the wires closer to the snare head under tension, enhancing snare response and providing a lively, articulate sound. This meticulous design ensures every note pops with clarity, making it ideal for studio or live performance.Sonically Versatile and Musically InspiringFrom low-end thump to articulate high-end crack, the Tama S.L.P. G-Bubinga snare offers versatility for any playing style. Whether used in rock, jazz, funk, or fusion settings, this drum brings a blend of natural resonance, precise hardware, and advanced strainer technology that inspires musical expression.
